This RBOC is one of the largest operating companies in the US. There are 1,600 central offices across many states, with thousands of internal users having the need to access tens of thousands of elements on the IP accessible network.

The challenge and resolution is to replace the existing home-grown access control solution that does not meet the required security rules on the ever-growing IP accessible network elements. The solution must be delivered on a solution that has up-time reliability and can handle many thousands of users. This was resolved by the implementation of Passwerks.

The Challenge & Resolution
Based on existing staff, the ILEC could not keep up with the growing number of internal users and elements. Tracking who was doing what to what and when was becoming laborious, costly, and inefficient. By deploying Passwerks, the network wire line group was able to control this ever-changing environment. A long distance provider is a subsidiary of a larger corporation.
